What is Love (Irish Crime 11)
Criminal psychologist Cathrin Blake (Désirée Nosbusch) faces a challenging situation: Ronan Doyle (Barry John Kinsella), who has been unremarkable until now, has kidnapped his ex-wife Grace (Lucianne McEvoy) because he cannot accept their separation. Superintendent Sean Kelly (Declan Conlon) and his team take up the chase, but the situation quickly spirals out of control. After a car accident, Ronan flees with Grace to a pub, where the guests become aware of the couple. When Ronan takes everyone in the bar hostage and shoots the landlord, the situation escalates. Cathrin is called in as a mediator and realizes that Ronan's excessive self-confidence stems from low self-esteem. His fragile ego makes every negotiation a tightrope walk. To save lives, she must find a way to stabilize the narcissist while time is running out.
Galway Mist (Irish Crime 12)
32-year-old Órla Hayes (Fionnuala Gygax), who was attending Alcoholics Anonymous with criminal psychologist Cathrin Blake (Désirée Nosbusch), is found brutally beaten to death in the backyard of her home. Cathrin is deeply affected; she was Órla's mentor at AA and had actually planned to meet her that morning. When Cathrin and Superintendent Sean Kelly (Declan Conlon) question the victim's ex-boyfriend, he tries to flee. As she delves deeper into the life of the murdered woman, the investigation reveals a web of toxic relationships and family conflicts.
